What’s a Webinar?
Webinar is short for Web-based Seminar. Webinars are training, coaching or presentations that are transmitted over the Internet. A key feature of Webinar training is its interactive elements -- the ability to give, receive and discuss information, rather than just receive it. A Webinar is either conducted live or as a recorded session.
So how does a webinar work? Just like any training program you'll need to register for the training session(s) on the internet. You'll receive an confirmation email and a reminder email about your scheduled session. One the day of the training session you can login in to the session from your personal computer, you'll either be prompted to dial in on your telephone or you'll need to have your speakers turned on, you'll join the session and be greeted by the facilitator. You don't need any additional equipment other than your computer and a reliable internet connection. It is recommend that you have a connection speed of at least 3 to 4 mps.
If you'd like to test your internet connection click here to use Speak Easy to conduct a speed test of your internet service. It's free.
What happens if you cannot attend a scheduled session or would like to review a session? No worries. You can always login in and watch the recorded session. All training session are recorded and can be viewed up to 90 days following a training session.
